From password strength and email phishing to firewalls and hacking prevention, every student in middle school and beyond should be aware of how cybersecurity affects their lives in our digitally connected world. Cybersecurity units and courses can help entice students into a field currently experiencing a worker shortage. They also can encourage students to find jobs in industries, such as medicine and human resources, that rely heavily on cybersecurity. If you are interested in teaching cybersecurity in your middle school or high school classroom, begin with these resources for an introduction to this important topic.
