Adapting About Me Project for Interdisciplinary Learning

About Me is a wonderful, creative project in which students create interactive collages featuring different aspects of themselves through clickable sprites. (See the CSinSF lesson plan or the original project in ScratchEd's Creative Computing guide, p. 36)

At a recent professional learning community (PLC) meeting, the CSinSF team prompted teachers to adapt the About Me project to support interdisciplinary learning of other content areas. (See PD materials, including the project planning guide)

Here is an example project that gives information about how different parts of a plant support its survival, growth, behavior, and reproduction, in alignment with NGSS standard 4-LS1-1.
