This week's CS for All Teachers Equity in CS Discussion is about OPPORTUNITIES:
How are computer science skills and social justice related?
How might we use social justice as the lens for creating CS opportunities (both learning and application) for students, family and community members, teachers and administrators?
How can these groups bring awareness, support, and implementation to new and existing computer science opportunities?
Share connections to in-school, extracurricular & social justice, etc!

I recently read a news article about how a medical algorithm was inadvertently coded with racial biases. I try to point my students to articles like this in asynchronous discussion groups to show them the need for diversity in CS as well as other fields.

Sometimes social justice is a matter of having coders and doctors that are trained to look for and root out bias in seemingly "reasonable choices".
