Happy Friday Teacher Friends,

Did you now it is National STEM/STEAM day? https://nationaldaycalendar.com/national-stemsteam-day-november-8/ This day inspires our kiddos to explore and pursue their interests in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. It's a great way to provided much needed access, equity, time to explore and create new learning experiences with STEM resources/materials where students would otherwise not have the opportunity.

QUESTION -->> So my question to all of you is.....how are you incorporating more STEM hands-on learning experiences in your classroom with students and teachers to build life learning STEM confidence? I would truly enjoy learning from each of you, and learning techniques and strategies of how you are are incorporating more STEM learning activities of choice with your students. Please feel free to share your best of the best STEM activities, design thinking challenges, or projects that have truly transformed thinking and learning amongst your students- so we can celebrate YOU and YOUR classroom!

As many of you know I love to teach and share with everything focused on STEM and STEAM! So here are some goodies to send your way of some current and upcoming free STEM webinars, global projects to be part of, and opportunities to connect to your students' learning world. And of course..... they are all FREE - as we know as educators that FREE is good- as it meets our budgets :-)

Thanks for all the great resources and ideas on how to incorporate STEM/ STEAM into the classroom.

One of the things our campus has started in a STEAM Carnival where we invite classes or students across the district to display their STEAM projects to the community at large. Clubs sell food as a fundraiser. It is such a fun event and allows students to feel pride showing off their hard work.

I think it could easily be scaled down to just a classroom event with invited members of the community and families in to see student STEAM projects.

Looking forward to hearing everyone's ideas!
