In case you missed it, we had a great turn out for our Back to School CS mixer webinar the end of September! We did not want you to miss out on accessing the online recorded webinar, and the shared PDF of curated resources too. Many of the hands-on activities showcased during the webinar included strategies and ideas to support learning at home to meet the demands of the online and blended learning environments. Additional ideas that were shared included LEEGO's, Play Osmo, and Makey Makey and several online CS LEGO gaming activities - so checkout the archived recording for more ideas to add to your digital toolbox :-)
QUESTION FOR ALL OF YOU
As we know, many teachers and parents are looking for creative resources and ideas to continue active learning to support coding, Makerspaces, STEM and CS in the home environment during COVID. So I am personally reaching out to educator friends to learn from you to see what is and what is not working as creative CS solutions to support your students and children with CS hands-on learning experiences during these challenging times?
Would love to learn with you and gain new perspectives to support our students and teachers, so I have come up with a crowdsourcing collaborative Google spreadsheet for all of us to contribute to this list of CS creative ideas, activities and tools to continue the learning engagement for our students of all abilities while learning from home or online.
Please contribute to this crowdsourced "CS Activities and Ideas List For Online and Blended Learning" and I can not wait to see all the ideas and resources that WE as a collaborative community of learners can come up with to meet the diverse learning needs of our students.
