The Future of ECS Assessments - How Do We Know What Students Know?

Thanks to our colleagues at SRI Education, CS10K Community members had two opportunities to learn about the future of ECS assessments. The SRI assessment team facilitated two webinars in September and October 2015, focused on the new ECS assessments they are developing. The topic was: How Do We Know What Students Know?

During the webinars, participants got an inside look of the assessment design process and how assessment targets can be integrated with activities in Units 1-4. Our webinar guests reviewed example assessment questions, student responses, and scoring rubrics. ECS teachers and other stakeholders were invited to share ideas on how to move students toward demonstrating understanding of computational thinking practices.

If you didn't have the chance to attend the webinars but would still like to take a peek at what was discussed, you can access the recording here.

Finally, a big thank you to our SRI colleagues and everybody who participated in the webinars!
